Ryzom announcements: pricing and first patch
Two announcements were just made, concerning the future of Ryzom.
First of all, about pricing:
Ryzom cannot develop and prosper as a “free to play” game forever, and therefore we have released Ryzom’s New pricing structure as follows. [..]
- 1 month: 7.95 € / $ 10.95 / £ 7.75
- 3 months: 22.50 € / $ 30.75 / £ 20.95
- 6 months: 41.95 € / $ 56.95 / £ 39.75
- 12 months: 77.95 € / $ 105.95 / £ 73.75
Then, a patch was announced for tomorrow Wednesday:
We are planning to temporarily shut down the servers, starting at 9AM GMT [..] on Wednesday 7 January, for a period of approximately 4 hours (until about 1PM GMT), though it might take a bit longer depending on how things go.
This downtime is intended to install a small update to the servers and also to allow us to test the procedure for updating Ryzom servers in real situations. We appreciate your understanding in advance on this break of several hours.
Most notably, the patch should include reactivation of Kitin Larvae in Desertstock, and the reappearance of Kitin in Demon’s Lap. For more information on patch content, see original post.
