Being Guild leader

Hekla becomes Guild Leader

So Master Pero wore His best Chaps of Doom and snuck into the Guild a few days ago to unilaterally appoint me as Guild Leader of Aeden Artisans. I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to guide your destinies and be served and adulated by you all, and to receive all the bowing and spontaneous songs of praise you’re bound to write and shout all over the lands for me.

Now… This appointment means some enormous responsibilities, like bossing you around and making sure you’re all nice to one another (a daunting task, that), setting up your daily schedule, etc. Of course, I’ll burn out eventually and leave you alone to do your own stuff, so I thought I’d start with leaving you alone. How does that sound?

Needless to say, I consider this an interim position. While I’m stewarding for Master Pero and we all await His Return (on a Yubo of Light, flying down from the Roots, bringing poboys), let’s try and come together again, and bring in a few more victims guildies. My goal is to bring Aeden Artisans to the point we’ll all be able to enter effortlessly into Underwood Woe. *crosses fingers*

Although I have a “vision” of what Aeden Artisans is about and what it stands for, many of you have been around AA for longer than I have. I’m counting on you to preserve the Guild’s identity, so that Master Pero finds things nicely in order when He comes back to steal the keys from me. All the other ones will have to drink my Slaveni tea.

For starters, I’m planning to have a collective digging party today in Loria [around 10:30PM GMT], as I’m, ummm, close to getting my Lakelands digging mastery. What do you mean I’m selfish! I won’t have any complaining, this is a mandatory meeting! We can go and explore Bounty Beaches afterwards, or hunt Shalahs if we decide we need new rugs for the Guild Hall.

Feel the power of teal yet?

[Marile and Ryuchan had some really good ideas for hunts, which should be pursued. It's not always practical for us all to find a time slot suitable for all time zones, but a weekly reconvening time frame would be really good. More Artisans awake together means more fun and more possibilities. A recent quick poll on a representative sample of three homins appeared to indicate Sundays between 8PM GMT and 1AM GMT might work nicely for U.S. and European time zones. Even if you only have 30mn to spare in that time, hop in!]

Ok, Pippsy, you grab one side of these chaps, and I will grab the other. Kek – hold her down. Now, Hekla, don’t struggle, we were under strict orders to make you wear the “crown” of the AA leader. *sniffs air* Pippsy, didn’t you say you washed these chaps??

Slaveni tea is useful as a cleaner. Quick! Pour the tea on them!
